The Department was established in the year 1969 and is continuously working to promote sports and other physical activities. The Department has been working progressively for upgrading the sports infrastructure of the college along with imparting theoretical knowledge about various aspects of sports and its discipline. It organises and enables students participation in several intra-college, inter-college, inter- University, national and international tournaments and offers Physical education as a discipline- specific core course in B.A. Programme adding glory to the college both in terms of academics and co- curricular. Our alumni have become the reason of marvel for the country in the field of sports. The department is consistently working for the holistic development of the students by organising events for them so that they can be a valuable part of the wide realm of physical education.
