The Department offers two Undergraduate Degree Courses in Commerce, namely B.Com. and B.Com. (Hons). It also offers one Postgraduate Course, M.Com. All of these courses are highly popular and sought after by the students. The syllabus enables the students to broaden their understanding and develop in-depth knowledge of major areas like Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Human Resource Management, Foreign Exchange Management, Taxation, law and other related fields. On the completion of the course, students become equipped with sound knowledge about the tools and techniques used in the interpretation of financial statements, the concepts of Corporate governance, Auditing, Income Tax, Corporate and Business Laws and Research Methodology. This course prepares students to deeply understand the Corporate world and to become successful entrepreneurs. The course also serves as the foundation for professional courses like CA, CS, CMA, CFA, MBA etc.
The Department of Commerce also has a devoted Academic and Research Committee named " ANALYTICA" for greater emphasis on qualitative research and overall development. The Commerce Society, Commercium, provides  a dynamic platform  for brilliant minds  of faculty members and students to share their enormous reservoir of knowledge and skills. It organises various activities like workshops, seminars and the annual Commerce Fest.
