SAVITRI RAWAT

Ms. Savitri Rawat did her post-graduation in Mathematics from Hindu College, University of Delhi, 1988 with third position (having the same percentage as that of 2nd position holder the difference was in decimals) in the Delhi University. She has done M.Phil. in Mathematics with distinction (among the 1st five positions) from University of Delhi, under the supervision of Prof. Dinesh Singh (Ex- VC of University of Delhi). She also holds a certificate in Digital Literacy and Innovation for Tomorrow’s Education (D-LITE) conducted by Delhi University in collaboration with Edinburgh College under the UK-India education Research Initiative project.

She is associated with University of Delhi as faculty since 1989 and presently holds Associate Professor’s position. She has been faculty of Hans Raj College, Kirori Mal College, Gargi College and presently working with PGDAV College. She has been actively participating in the examination work of Delhi University as convener, co-convener and head examiner. She has been a member/ Co-convener of FYUP Course Structure/ Guidelines Committee of courses for undergraduate courses at University of Delhi. She was member of Governing Body of P.G.D.A.V. in 2008-2009 and has been Head of the Dept., many times in the college. She has been contributing to administration work as a member of various committees like Apex committee, Academic committee, Admission committee, Library committee, S.A.F., B.A.(Prog), Sports, etc. Under her convenorship of Hyperion, the cultural society of P.G.D.A.V. , session 2018-19, society won 269 prizes in various events.

Her teaching experience spanning over more than two and a half decades dedicated to prepare students for future challenges in their career by good understanding of higher analysis papers like complex analysis, metric spaces, abstract algebra papers like group theory, ring theory and others like real analysis, classical algebra, analytical geometry.
