Corporate Finance (Private Equity)
Dr. Neerza is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Commerce, PGDAV (M) College, University of Delhi. She has been associated with the University of Delhi for over thirteen years. She holds a PhD in Finance from the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Her research thesis, "An Empirical Study of Private Equity Investment in India: Trends and Determinants", has been among the few attempts to explore the Indian Private Equity Landscape, a critical constituent of Indian Capital markets. Her research on the emerging field of Private Equity has been cited in reputed Journals of Taylor & Francis, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), and the Management Development Institute (MDI). Apart from Private Equity, she actively seeks research opportunities in the other areas of corporate finance and financial markets.
She co-authored a textbook on Personal Financial Planning for undergraduate students. She has also authored several lessons on venture capital, relative valuation, and financial modelling as a part of prescribed study material for MBA, MCom and BBA students of the School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.
She has contributed significantly to a UGC-sponsored Major Research project titled "Relationship between Macroeconomic Factors and Aggregate Stock Returns in Emerging Markets: An Empirical Study of BRICS Stock Markets" under the invaluable guidance of Late Prof. Vanita Tripathi (Principal Investigator).
She holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) in Finance from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, an MBA from Amity Business School, Amity University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and a B. Com from Gargi College, University of Delhi.
