Dr. Perveen is an Associate Professor in the Commerce Department at PGDAV College. She has a PhD from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi. The title of the thesis is 'Strategic Corporate Communication: A Study of Selected Companies in the Service Sector'. She is a B Com Honours graduate from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, and completed her MCom from the same university. She also holds a post-graduate diploma in Advertising and Public Relations from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. She received the Universitas 21 scholarship (2010-11) of Delhi University and completed an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, UK.

She has been teaching Marketing, Advertising and Personal Selling papers to undergraduate students. She has also taught Business Communication to MBA (full-time) students at the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), the University of Delhi.  She has participated in various conferences, workshops, webinars and published papers in journals of academic repute. Before her career in teaching, she worked as a trainee with a media agency, Maxus (Group M), where she engaged in media planning for various clients, including- Seagram, Dabur, Perfetti and SBI credit cards.
